GM describing Gregory's visit to Julian's Arden compound "She's
got a sheep with her, a mountain sheep with big horns."
Todd "What happened to Morgenstern?"
GM, successfully ignoring Todd's remark "There are no mountains around
here. God only knows why she's got a mountain sheep here-well, God and me."
Todd "It could
be a sheepshifter."
Gregory, searching Julian's private study (and his own memory)
for Julian's trump deck "Maybe Julian's trumps vanished with him when
he expired on the Pattern."
GM "You remember Corwin said that Julian was
only wearing tight, knee-length under-armor trousers when he died."
Gregory OoC "Dad, why is your butt square?"
Todd channeling Christopher Walken "Your father…kept this trump
deck….up his ass…."
Gabriel trumps Gregory in to his chambers in Amber.
Gregory (looking around, commenting on the floozy in bed) "I
see you've moved on to Betty now."
Gabriel "Yeah. After what happened to Barbara I was concerned."
Gregory looks at Betty to see if she's awake.
Gabriel "It's okay. She's drugged up so much she doesn't
know what we're saying."
Gabriel, talking to Brand "Is there anything you wish
me to pass along to Martin?"
Guy, pretending to be Brand "Smallpox."
Aedan explains how Caine spoke with the Unicorn and then Corwin
loaned him Grayswandir.
Gabriel "Do you think I could borrow some of Corwin's stuff?
I'll change my colors to black and silver."
Martin (wistfully, looking at his own outfit in his own colors:
orange and green) "You can do that?"
Gabriel "Martin, did the Unicorn talk to you?"
Martin "No. I feel left out."
Aedan "I was there and the Unicorn didn't give me any
instructions."
Ameer OoC "I don't look surprised."
Martin "Hey, Flora wasn't doing the dance
of happiness on my dad's grave. I count that as a victory."
Martin, speaking to Benedict via Trump "Yes-yes, I-yes-are
y-of course-no-um-I'm trying to-yes-I can see that-no-absolutely-certainly-Please,
take your time-I-" (End of conversation)
Aedan "Can you tell me anything about
the Courts before I go there?"
Corwin "Don't expect any CYA from us. I assume you've got some
something to keep from getting killed outright. It wouldn't do us any good
for you to go to Chaos and just die."
Aedan "Can you tell me anything helpful?"
Corwin "…(some advice)… and don't do anything stupid."
