why the trees happened."
James "I've learned to trust his theories."
Todd "We're doomed!"
Gabriel "One thing that we have been doing…at least a few of us…well,
that I have been doing…."
Magni "Wait. If we kill the elders we destroy shadow? Here, Flora, Flora…."
Gregory "Who wore Julian's armor into Chaos? I did. I'm proud
of my tact. 'Tact and Diplomacy Gregory,' that's what they call me. (Pause
while everyone looks at him incredulously) Hey! I took the elven bimbo with
me!"
Gabriel "There are two people who know it. One of them is dead
at the moment."
Magni "Where do you step?"
Aedan "Right here."
Magni "Like this? (taking the first step onto the Pattern) I'm selling
my soul to the Unicorn Devil."
GM "Remember that awful feeling you weren't having?"
Magni "Yeah."
GM "You're having it now."
Magni attempting to remain focused while walking the Pattern "By the
juice of Sappho the lips acquire stains. The stains become a warning…."
Raj shouts encouragement to Magni as he approaches the Final Veil.
Aedan does too, in his own way "Don't wimp out!!!"
Magni has succeeded in walking the Pattern and is trying to teleport himself
to someone.
GM "Where are you visualizing him?"
Dan "I see a circus, a big top, lots of clowns, and he's right there
in the middle of it."
(Everyone chuckles.)
Dan "Oh yeah? If he had been in the circus I'd be the hero of the fucking
game!"
GM "You don't seem to be teleporting."
Magni "It doesn't work!"
GM "Poof! You disappear! I'll get back to you."
GM "When the servants come and clean it-"
Guy (interrupting) "Servants come and clean the Pattern?!?"
GM "Yes, with a reeeally long-handled squeegee."
A nameless NPC, nicknamed 'Old Tufty' for his voluminous eyebrows, was interrupted
by Aedan while counting drops into a beaker.
Old Tufty "Was that twelve drops?"
Todd/Aedan "I say…'Yes.'"
GM "I need some dice."
The GM has described to Dan his post-Patternwalk dreamlike experience . Then
Magni awakened. "I should point out that you're not in the Queen's bed."
Todd "You're in Big Gay Al's bed!"
Dan "Waitaminnit! I thought you said this was the 'best feeling I've
ever had!' Oh shit!!!"
Magni (explaining his Patternwalk at breakfast) "The black paths on the
Pattern are exceptionally difficult and very painful-more than the other parts.
It's a combination of strong, powerful emotions like exceptional love and
excruciating pain."
Aedan "I think I've dated her."
