Dance This Mess Around

Raj and Giselle plotted even more about how to destroy the Leviathan. They were spurred on by Eve and the Seraph. Raj hiked through Shadow to a private place where all the boy scouts ran around pantsless. Giselle played cribbage with the Seraph.

Gabriel, Aedan, Flora, and King Martin discussed the latest events in the Great Hall. Flora went to find Gerard. Martin went to attend to matters of the fleet. Gabriel and Aedan went to Fiona’s laboratory. They found a charred corpse1 and more of Dworkin’s journals. There were weird magical vibes that Aedan and Gabriel investigated. They found themselves in the castle in the sky (it’s called the Moon), watching a silver hart get shot by spooky hunters. Then Gregory appeared and took the hart away, but it wasn’t a hart, it was a rock lobster Julian. They went back to the real castle.

Giselle flirted with Mandor somewhere in her own private Courts of Chaos. They spoke about the Nature of Reality. She told him Raj had the new and improved Jewel of Judgment before leaving for taking a detour through your mind via the Fae realms.

GM's Commentary

in which you will find some references to the actual events that occurred in the game -- usually less amusing (or flattering to Todd's character) than the Chronicler's version...

1. Bleys

Fables of the Reconstruction

Gabriel tried to trump everyone. No one answered. He visited Julian and spoke with Raj. Then he trumped Giselle and went through to those Fae lands under a Man Ray kind of sky. Gabriel and Giselle spoke about offing Leviathan, Giselle’s allegiance to the Seraph, and a good recipe for vegetarian lasagna without eggplant. Aedan visited Caine’s Caine-less rooms then spent some time fencing with the Castle Guards.

Raj and Gerard went to the Pattern Room. Raj walked the Pattern and did funky things that made him more intimate with the red crystal doo-dad (in layman’s terms). Gerard grunted. Searlas showed up, probably with the Trump Sword. He and Raj went back to the desert.

Aedan trumped Giselle and spoke with her and Gabriel. Giselle was waiting to speak with King Lugh in her scrappy black armor, with her hair braided back. Some revelations from their discussion:

  1. Julian was apparently always deformed, so the new, hunchback guy isn’t different in that regard;
  2. There may be more Metaphysical women coming, according to Giselle;
  3. Mandor speculated that only Amberites have the power to create, and hence influence over the new goddesses
  4. Bananas should never be put in Jell-O;
  5. When your world is a monster, Leviathan can only be harmed by using its creator’s blood. Whether that creator is Julian or Gregory is unclear.

Aedan and Gabriel went to the Keep of the Four Worlds where they had a prolonged argument that ended with Gabriel asking Aedan to leave. Aedan returned to Amber and took a short nap. Gabriel studied the Keep, becoming increasingly aware that it was more than it had seemed. He trumped Aedan and they argued some more. Aedan went to visit Deirdre but he was still a ways away.

Giselle finally got her audience with Lugh. He listened to her plans and sent her to round up the Unseelie. She carried ribbons, she wore them out.

PC Dispositions:

Aedan is knocking on Deirdre’s door.

Giselle is in the camp of the Unseelie arm-wrestling Ailill.

Raj and Searlas are in Osric’s realm getting roaringly drunk.

Gregory is printing up pro-Leviathan propaganda.

Magni is having wild sex with Rowena, that Rebman babe from long ago.

Gabriel is scheming with Rellin and the Army of the Keep of the Four Worlds.
