Pointy Hat, Font, Legos

Aedan and Corwin frolicked to the Main Temple of the Unicorn to hold the Church’s hand for a while. It’s a big, religious place on the South side of town with a cathedral, a library, and a huge model train set-up in the basement. Allegedly, a delegation of priestly types from Kashfa will arrive in a week or so to help the Church recover from what’s-his-name’s public immolation. Aedan was named honorary High Prelate of the Unicorn and given a tall, pointy hat to wear1.

Magni investigated mysterious happenings and discovered the Font of Power:

Haettenschweiler, 24 point.

After following Bleys's trail through shadow for several days, Gregory and Raj finally caught up to him and they chatted. The Unicorn appeared. Gabriel joined the group and brought Brand with him; Raj knocked Brand out when it appeared Brand was going to attack the Unicorn. They watched Brand’s unconscious body Trump away all by itself. Bleys took his dead lieutenant, the horse, and Werewolfwindle and whistled a merry tune all the way to splitsville, man.

Magni and Gregory chatted. Giselle and Flora chatted. Searlas and the GM chatted. K.J. chatted with Legos.

GM's Commentary

in which you will find some references to the actual events that occurred in the game -- usually less amusing (or flattering to Todd's character) than the Chronicler's version...

Lunchtime Means Funtime Death

Everyone gathered around for lunch. Aedan passed around a necklace which he said Brand gave him. It was platinum with a big-ass sapphire which changed color depending on the wearer’s mood. When Giselle fondled the necklace, her appearance changed and she became less perky, but somehow more unperky. She was seen to be wearing a nasty iron crown and armor. If Gabriel had been there he would have undoubtedly made a comment appropriate to a horny nineteen-year-old with limited social skills. Getting back to our story, Giselle mentioned that Corwin was rumored to have killed Dara because he didn’t like the way she had raised their son, Merlin, the new King of Chaos. Now, that’s one guy that’s going to need a lot of therapy.

Gregory and Magni trumped through on a big inner-tube and brought a heap of snow with them. It looked like fun except they were dressed for summer. Gregory recounted his run-in with Bleys, Brand, the Unicorn/Beast, and Raj. Apparently, Raj ran off with the Beast when she turned into a gorgeous, naked, pale white-haired babe with piercing blue eyes. No one could blame him. Nonetheless, everyone swore an oath to smother Raj in pickle relish and tickle him with iguanas until he agreed not to do such a silly thing ever again.

Giselle told of her adventures in the Fae Realms. Apparently, they’ve been busy over there. Eoghan is now the head of the Unseelie Court and Mandor/Dagda/Lon Chaney intends to be Lugh’s New Best Friend. Giselle reported to Martin, who had better make a good regent or this game could really get difficult.

Responsibility Rears Its Ugly Head

Magni, Gregory, and Aedan divided up responsibilities:

Gregory would solve all of the problems in Arden.

Aedan would solve all of the problems in Chaos.

Magni would solve all of the problems Osric had a hand in.

Gabriel would keep Brand from killing all of us.

Giselle would solve all of the problems in Faerie.

Searlas would solve all of—hey, what’s this guy doing here?

Aedan trumped Caine, who came through all bloody and not quite dead. Aedan tried to heal him, and was joined by Searlas, Magni, Martin, Gerard, and a few unlucky castle staff members in doing so. No, Caine didn’t have Grayswandir with him when he arrived and even so Aedan wouldn’t have had time to hide it before everybody showed up. Caine said that Bleys had stabbed him and tried to fondle his trump deck. Magni callously pilfered the weird place trumps from Caine’s deck until Aedan threatened him with grievous bodily harm. Aedan has now saved Caine’s life twice in the short span of a few days and hopes that Caine remembers this and is appropriately grateful if he ever recovers.

Magni and Searlas went to check out the Pattern room like people do periodically in this campaign. They chatted with Martin. The Pattern still showed some signs of being nearly destroyed, but was otherwise okay.

Giselle, returned recently from chatting with Lugh, returned to Amber. Aedan chatted with Benedict via Trump, then chatted with Martin.

Evening fell, with a sickening thud that can only mean one thing.
