Sebastian - A Brief Summary

Sebastian was contacted by his adopted father, Lord Ailill, while he was in the mourning processional for the King in Green, and it was suggested that now might be a good time to learn more about his heritage. He contacted his old friend, Aidan, and together they traveled to the Inn at the Crossroads. They learned nothing of note there, and returned to the Keep of Lord Ailill.
Sebastian gave Aidan a Trump of both his mother, and of himself, and provided both of their mothers Trumps of them. They then traveled out into Arden, where they encountered men of Benedict, and after a 'guard' had been assigned to them, they were escorted to Amber to complete their stated goal of deliver condolences of King Finnvara to Princess Flora on the Death of Lord Julian, the King in Green.
Flora arranged rooms for them in the castle, and then they heard the odd thumping noise, and then a large crash. When they investigated it, they found Lord Julian, very much alive, who escorted them to a giant hole in the floor and the ceiling. They never learned what had escaped and caused the holes, but it was evidently very large and strong.
Aidan and Sebastian found a way to the pattern room while the castle was in chaos. They investigated it, and found some odd red crystalline shards embedded in the wall. They each took some to investigate. Nothing was found out yet.
Julian and Aidan had a touching father/son moment, and then Julian died. Sebastian informed Regent Gerard, while Aidan sat with the body. Eventually King Finnvara determined that an Ambassador was necessary, and appointed Sebastian. A short term treaty was formed between Amber and the Fae, excluding Benedict.
Sebastian found out that Flora was half-Fae. This was earth shattering to him, as his whole life he had operated under the assumption that he was 50% Amberite, and 50% Fae. He always thought he was a "freak," and was raised somewhat that way. Then to find out that he was mostly Fae, and the Amberite portion was fairly negligible, was very devastating. He had a long conversation with Flora in which they both said they wanted to get to know one another better, and admitted to being sorry the other had not been in their lives.
Sebastian met his brother Byron, and spent some time conversing with him. He was raised alone, so having other relatives is a strange concept to him, but a pleasing one.
