A surprisingly densely muscled young man only a little taller than his father, Martin is perhaps too keyed up to be quite the man of leisure he'd like to be. His pale eyes carry the fire of chronic pain and an awareness of mortality lacking in many Amberites. Martin's stints on the music scene have suited him well; high tech music even better. He keeps his blonde-green hair to a half-inch buzz because it annoys him to have to fuss with it.Martin is fierce and keen, but as yet undirected. He has maintained his own power because he is afraid. He waits to see where he will place his loyalty. He is happiest when sent on out-shadow missions by his father or assisting Benedict far from Amber. He despises Corwin and his lethargy, and wishes his father did not associate with him so much, though Martin is always cordial. With all the other elders except Benedict, Llewella, and, more rarely, Random, he is distant but polite.
Martin spends at least 4 hours each day training or meditating, preferably solo, visualizing Benedict's exercises, practicing reaction time, pushing his Pattern perception or any other advantage he may have. That his body is a corded whip is the outward show of this devotion -- some might say obsession.
Part of his morning routine after... Brand... has been to carefully clean and re-pack his wound and burn the bloody dressings. When the Pattern is walked or in use, his side flares -- not quite with pain, exactly, more with... knowledge. Then there is the bleeding.
In preparing for the game, I need to know what you envision Martin doing TODAY, a typical day in his life. Specifically, he is preparing to avoid the usual 30th anniversary party his aunts and uncles pretend to throw on behalf of Random, but really just do for the chance to show each other how clever they are... again.
It has only gotten worse since Brand was returned from the Abyss. You thought Brand himself would be the worst of it, but he is so weak now, so lessened by his time there that he is almost unrecognizable; even your wound doesn't recognize him. Worse is the way your aunts and uncles behave in front of him, as though he is some further tool for their games.
So, where is he hanging out, other than Amber? Is he doing his usual routines, or is he forcing himself to take a break?
