What was known of Aidan in Amber when the campaign began: Aidan had had no contact with the Court of the Third Realm before the game's start. He had been raised in the First Realm by his mother, Lady Rionach of Rossnowlach, a House of the Hunt. He had served for a few years as a courier to the Court of Thorns, reporting sometimes even to King Finnvarra himself.

Andrew stands about 5'11". He has a compact muscular build, good condition. He is dressed in comfortable clothing of dark green and gold... Ruggedly handsome, he has the red hair and green eyes of his mother, the hair cut military short. His normally fair skin is tanned by a lot of outdoor living.

Andrew moves easily and quietly. He has a pleasant smile that reaches his eyes, and carries a sword.

What was known of Andrew in Amber when the campaign began: Andrew had done some work under Bleys in the Amber Expeditionary Army, where he acquitted himself well, though he was involved in a small scandal over a "friendly fire" skirmish with some of Caine's marines.

Blade is a little over six feet tall with a sculpted build that he works hard to maintain. He is classically handsome, with a pale complexion and flame-red hair. His ice blue eyes remind any observer of Bleys-the eyes and hair being the only points of physical similarity between father and son that are easily noted. Blade is always clean-shaven and clearly has a strong sense of style. He most commonly wears a vests or jackets over his black outfit that have red or gold trim or designs on them. Blade often bears a golden saber named Aurynmere that is reminiscent of Bleys's sword.

Son of Bleys. 

Blade is very much the primal playboy. He loves his wine and his women, his adventures and his acquisitions. He comes from a shadow that is not dissimilar to Europe in the 1930s and 40s, where he has a mansion and is considered a highly eligible bachelor. If you've visited him there, he's done his best to show you a good time and treat you to the finest hospitality that the shadow has to offer. Blade appears to get along fairly well with Bleys, but has never spoken about his mother..

What was known of Blade in Amber when the campaign began: Blade, playboy of Torveth, was mainly famous among the younger generation for throwing lavish parties in his home shadow. His sister, Rio, often stayed with him there.

Brent stands about 5'4", and normally dresses like a seaman with loose black and brown clothes tied with a brown sash at the waist. He has a hard, angular face and dark eyes. When particularly distracted, or tired, he tends to walk with a limp, a remnant of a childhood injury. He always dresses for the occasion, and looks his best at every function he attends.

Son of Corwin. 

Brent is a short man, with hard lines on his face. At a very young age, he shattered his legs, and he spent most of his relatively young life recovering from that. It gave him a bitterness and a hard edge, which he has welcomed. This injury caused him to devote himself to becoming the most perfect being he could imagine. He trained himself mercilessly, and quickly surpassed everyone he knew.

What was known of Brent in Amber when the campaign began: Brent was very little known in Amber. He had attended the 20th Anniversary of Random's reign, but had little contact with his cousins and Amber family otherwise.

Byron was about 20 years old at the time of the 20 year celebration. He was not at the 10 year celebration. He was 6 feet 4 inches tall and well-proportioned, if wiry and thin. He has blue eyes and black hair. He seems to make little attempt at appearance, yet is extremely handsome (you know Flora is his mother without even asking). He does not move as awkwardly as he should, given his adolescent body.

He is dressed in red and black silk clothing, with an oriental flavor. He wears a katana. He is quiet and reserved, defering to his elders.

What was known of Byron in Amber when the campaign began: Since the 20th celebration, he has been seen around Amber occasionally with his younger sister, Meridian.

Dartmouth is of average height and build. He is handsome (his mother was a great beauty by all accounts, and all of the Amberites are good-looking so this is hardly unusual in the family) and has a pale complexion. His hair is an inky black and his eyes are a hazel-green; when interested in something they have a inner glow all their own, and his intense stare is hard to turn away from.

As he is generally found in renaissance-like shadows, he is generally dressed in doublet and close-fitted Elizabethan hose; almost always his clothes are black in color, with accents of cream and carmel (for example on any piping, fringe, needlework etc.). He always dresses well, and is willing to alter his fashions to suit any shadow where he happens to be spending his time.

Son of Brand. 

Dartmouth has a few well-rehearsed modes of behavior that you may have picked up on. When he is bored (which is often) he is usually in "the Slump", a seated position in which he watches everything around him with a stoic look. He doesn't usually communicate much during these moods. When he is in a new surrounding, he is generally quiet and observant. He watches people, what they do and what they say, who they speak to and what they talk about. If there is something that he finds entertaining going on, a romantic intrigue or a political diversion, he can be very charming and outgoing. Whatever the tone of his behavior, he is quite formal and generally minds his manners.

What was known of Dartmouth in Amber when the campaign began: Dartmouth has been hanging around Kashfa of late, visiting with family. "One does have one's obligations," he will tell anyone who asks. Dartmouth finds Amber to be a fascinating place, and thus you hardly ever see him in "the Slump" while he is there. It is more common in Kashfa, and if you met him in his 'not-quite-home' shadow it was how he spent most of the time.

Duncan is tall, like his father, about 6' 3", athletic with a runners build. He is clean shaven and his hair is cut just a little too short to allow someone to get a grip on it. He has dark brown hair and eyes, and his skin is a bit weathered though not very tanned.

Son of Benedict. 

Duncan's clothing is loose and comfortable, done in brown and black. He walks with a smooth graceful step his hand often resting on the sword slung at his hip.

What was known of Duncan in Amber when the campaign began: Duncan has held minor positions in almost all the military forces of Amber, including Bley's Expeditionary, Caine's marines, and the City Guard. He has never stayed in any one place long enough to gain high rank, however, and he has never been truly tested by his father in Amber's Army.

Shorter than his father, dark haired and weathered tan, Guillaume is a lean desert warrior.

Prepared all his life to fight invaders with thousands of horse-mounted warriors at his side, the green and pleasant lands of Amber and the comforts of the Castle -- however badly scarred -- all come as a shock to him.

What was known of Guillaume in Amber when the campaign began: Until the very end of the campaign's first session, Guy had been kept as Gerard's dirty secret, trapped in Osric's shadow prison and raised there by Osric. He had become one of Osric's top warlords and enforcers, and knew almost nothing about Amber except what his adopted father had taught him. That Gerard had returned to the prison, seemingly only to help them escape, was beyond his understanding....

Laertes, with grizzly beard and long scraggly hair (both a rich chocolate brown), prefers to lounge about in sturdy cotton earth tones: greens, browns, deep reds, and pale yellows. His clothes are certainly more functional than formal. When the occasion arises to play the role of Son of Amber, Laertes dresses in the current fashionable city attire, caring little about individualising his appearance..

Son of Gerard. 

Laertes was raised by his shadow parents in a rural pioneering community, who earned their living farming and logging. Before Laertes learned of his true heritage, his teenage years were spent felling trees and ploughing fields. Laertes's Amber blood nourished his body deeply, turning a hearty boy into a strapping young man. At just shy of seven feet tall and well over 300 pounds of solid muscle, Laertes was the greatest powerhouse in his shadow's known world.

When Gerard first presented Laertes to Amber, Laertes was held in awe as a mountain of muscle with a determination and willingness to match. Shortly after Laertes walked the Pattern, Gerard returned him to his shadow home.

Then something changed.

Rumour in the Court says Laertes settled down in a cabin in a sparsely populated forest, far away from everyone, and grew lazy. When Laertes returns to Amber during this impending gathering, everyone will notice an incredible change: he is now lazy and tired and fat. His granite muscles have softened, his fit body has bloated, and his mind has grown numb. Now, at over 500 pounds, Laertes is still incredibly strong ... but primarily from having to support his massive girth.

What was known of Laertes in Amber when the campaign began: After his enthusiastic first visit to Amber, Laertes was seen surprisingly little. It is known that a few of his cousins visited him in his own rural home shadow, but those visits became fewer and farther between as the boy's depression made him less and less interested in receiving visitors.

A surprisingly densely muscled young man only a little taller than his father, Martin is perhaps too keyed up to be quite the man of leisure he'd like to be. His pale eyes carry the fire of chronic pain and an awareness of mortality lacking in many Amberites. He keeps his blonde-green hair to a half-inch buzz because it annoys him to have to fuss with it.

Son of Random. 

Martin is fierce and keen, but as yet undirected. He has maintained his own power and waits to see where he will place his loyalty. He is happiest when sent on out-shadow missions by his father or assisting Benedict far from Amber. He despises Corwin and his lethargy, and wishes his father did not associate with him so much, though Martin is always cordial. With all the other elders except Benedict, Llewella, and Random, he is distant but polite.

What was known of Martin in Amber when the campaign began: Martin spent as little time in Amber as possible during any official events, though he stopped in at the 20th Anniversary celebration briefly. That particular visit seemed to be curtailed by his reaction to Brand's return from the Abyss.... Since that time he has maintained his privacy, visiting Benedict and Random only occasionally, and spending most of his time in his own secure shadows or in Rebma with Llewella and his grandmother, Queen Moire.

The slender, brown-eyed, 12-year-old girl everyone remembers from the 20th anniversary celebration became a 5'7" leggy blonde by age 27. She appears healthy, fit, and easy on the eyes. The trepidation of her first visit is gone, replaced by a casual confidence that does not seem to be of Amberite proportions.

Those brown eyes are still quick to note her family's reactions though.

Daughter of Flora. 

This time around, Meridian has brought a friend with her named Greenwich. The silver tabby cat is aptly named for giving 'rudinskies' a mean time..

What was known of Meridian in Amber when the campaign began: Meridian was very young -- merely a girl -- at the 20th anniversary celebration. She and her brother Byron continued to live on Flora's Shadow Earth, where they grew up, and were only rarely seen in Amber.

Philip is tall (though not quite so tall as Duncan), a bit thin, with dark hair and flat, grey eyes. He carries himself with a calm confidence and speaks in the quiet, gentle manner Shadow Earth would associate with the wealthier strata of the southern United States. He dresses in quality suits, made to precise order in a mid-19th century style, usually in white with just a hint of color from a watch-chain, handkerchief or boutonnière. He affects a cane and small pince-nez glasses, though he needs neither

 

Son of Julian. 

Though carefully polite and well-mannered, Philip is generally quiet and closed-off, sharing little of what it is he does off in Shadow or of his opinions on any matter, providing just enough participation in any conversation to keep it alive.

What was known of Philip in Amber when the campaign began: Philip kept to himself across a wide range of naturally connected Shadows. He was little seen in Amber and was not known to particularly associate with his father.

Rio is a young Latina, sparkling alive with laughter and passion. Her eyes, lashes and jauntily short hair are all a lush deep black with scintillating golden highlights. Her skin is the warm golden-brown of a dedicated sun-worshipper and her 5'7" frame flows in the lean athletic lines of a swimmer. However, there can no doubt at all that Rio is feminine, especially as she favors very revealing clothing of bright tropical colors and patterns.

Daughter of Bleys. 

Rio is a bon vivant of the highest calibre. She lives to enjoy life, creating around herself moment after moment of sublime pleasure, harrowing joy, sheerest exultation etc. Bleys' daughter is a creature of the now, rarely talking about the past or planning for the future. Once she is done with a painting or a yacht or a man, she leaves them behind herself and moves on to her next experience. This combined with an almost unshakeable self-confidence and a sense that rules are for other people has landed Rio in trouble more than once. But nothing so far that she hasn't landed on her feet from.

What was known of Rio in Amber when the campaign began: Rio has made intermittant appearances in Amber in the most recent decades, brought in shipboard by Caine. She has always stayed only briefly before returning to Shadow in the company of her father. Since the 20th Anniversary celebration, she has spent much of that time with her brother Blade on his home shadow.

Known to most as "Skeet," Sebastian is in his late 20's, slender, about 5'11", with shoulder-length dark brown hair and a goatee.

 

Son of Flora. 

Skeet was raised in the Keep of Lord Ailill. Skeet can be a pleasant and courtly gentleman, but he is one who does not like to be crossed. There are rumors that he has killed someone for insulting him in the past, but that of course is just a rumor. He is known as a high level sorcerer and Trump Artist among the Fae.

Skeet moves easily in all of the circles of Fae society. He has learned the ways of whom he is with to blend with them, and tries to not draw attention to himself. While in a social situation, there is no doubt that he is a most charming man, and has left many broken hearts among those who would be on his arm at the events, as he has closely guarded his heart.

What was known of Sebastian in Amber when the campaign began: Sebastian was unknown in the Amber court at large; Florimel had left him in the First Realm to be raised by whichever House was chosen by the Fae King Finnvarra. As it was, Sebastian's childhood was spent with Lord Ailill of the Black Oak Arden Way, one of the great Keeps guarding a trod between Arden and Faerie.
