Ebb Tide: Under Tow 2 Ambercon 2005

Byron started at Amber and went to talk to Regent Gerard. He brought word from King Finnvarra that Fae would like to talk about a truce, treaty and generally establish diplomatic relations. Gerard was interested, so Byron took word back to King Finnvarra. Byron cooled his heals in the waiting room and talked to a Lord of Fae, then was admitted to see the King. They agreed on a 10 day truce, to give time to talk about a treaty. The truce and treaty did not include Benidict and the troops loyal to him, on this both sides agreed. Both sides seemed interested in developing a treaty. Later, Byron was made the Ambassador of Amber to Fae.
Byron saw Philip at the court of Finnvarra, who was scornful of Byron's previous disguise. Byron responded with much scorn, saying if a simple glamour spell was his only focus, then Byron had no time for him.
Byron met Sebastian, another son of Flora, who later became the Ambassador of Fae to Amber. He grew up in the Fae realm with his father and is a sorceror. At one point, Sebastian was being cagey with Gerard about some piece of information; Byron gave Gerard the clear information, which he had gotten from Philip. Sebastian seemed surprised.
Byron met Aidan, the messenger for King Finnvarra, who may be an Amberite or may not.
Byron met Guillaume, a son of Gerard, who was raised by Osric. A warrior type, who carried the Trump Sword that used to belong to Osric. He led desert soldiers and spoke Arabic. (played by Jeff.)
My sister Meridian was not there this year.
Byron helps Flora learn relationship skills: Guilliame showed interest in Flora because of her scar. He made appropriate moves indicating his interest to Flora, but Flora did not know how to respond. So Byron talked to Flora about how to have a relationship with Guillaume that was something besides sex. (Kudos to woman playing Flora (Flora was played by Carla - GM.).) They talked about friendship and getting to know the other person.
Philip asked Byron to help spread the word among the troops loyal to Amber that they should get out of Arden, and Byron did so, using his teleport abilities and some trump gates (?) set up by Phillip. (the gates were actually the ways and trods between Arden and the Fae realms. -GM.) Once troops loyal to Amber were out of Arden, the Fae did something to close the whole place off and make it a prison for the remaining troops and Benedict.
