Undertow — Brent's Background
Brent, Son of Corwin

Background:
Brent is a short man, with hard lines. At a very young age, he shattered his legs, and he has spent most of his relatively young life recovering from that. It gave him a bitterness and a hard edge, which he has welcomed. This injury caused him to devote himself to be the most perfect being he could imagine. He trained himself mercilessly, and quickly surpassed everyone he knew. He quickly grew to hate and revile the creatures around him as lesser beings.That is, until Amy stepped into his life. They were a match made in heaven, a perfect couple. She was gifted in all areas of her life, and Brent, slowly, grew to love her. They had many happy years together. He began to see life outside of the narrow definitions he had provided for it until, that is, she feel prey to her own weakness and died of an epidemic that swept the area. He never forgave her or himself for that failing, but most of all he turned his anger on his father, Corwin, for leaving her to die in his arms.
Brent took Amy's death hard, and it began his horrible disdain for anything that he considered "lesser". His father, Corwin he considers perhaps the most "lesser" of them all. He is weak and pathetic. He was offered the greatest responsibility in all the universe, and turned it down. How could he be such scum as to turn his back on a world and a son that needs him?

Just one more thought about Brent: I know things at the start of this game will shake him up a bit, which may bring him a little out of himself, but if he ends up being a complete loner the game will not be much fun for you (Ben).I'm pretty sure you can make the character work -and- stay in character if you keep your eyes open for the opportunities for him to change...
Just a heads-up, really.
